In a Game Jam, participants come together to make video games. Each participant works in a small team on a complete game project over the course of a limited time period, usually over a weekend. With such a small time frame, the games tend to be innovative and experimental.
The Global Game Jam is a game jam that takes place in the same 48 hours all over the world! The Global Game Jam will happen on January 29-31, 2010. All participants in the Global Game Jam will be constrained by the same rules and limitations, with each time zone having one distinct constraint.
Where?
LTGameJam 2010 will happen in two locations: Vilnius and Kaunas.

When?
2010 January 29-31. We start at 17:00 on Friday.
Who can participate?
You are a developer, a student, a programmer, a designer, a thinker, an artist, a musician etc etc. Professional or amateur, does not matter. Come by yourself and form a team when you arrive.

What to bring?
- Hardware: laptop or desktop. Software: bring any software you will want to use.
- If you plan to sleep on-site, bring a sleeping bag!
- If you have spare power extension cables, bringing them won't hurt.
- We'll gather a small fee (10-20Lt) for tea, coffee, snacks, paper and whatnot.
What will we do?
Theme for the games will be announced at the event. We will brainstorm game ideas, form teams, choose tools and technology, and have an amazing time making those ideas happen.
Approximate schedule:
- 01.29: start at 17:00.
- Welcome & introduction; watching GlobalGameJam2010 keynote.
- Theme for the games is announced.
- Brainstorming ideas.
- Forming teams.
- Hardware and working environment setup.
- Jam!
- 01.30: Jam!
- Before 11:00 all participants must have registered their teams & game in Global Game Jam website.
- 01.31:
- Jam!
- By 14:30 games must be finished. We'll package them up and upload.
- Discuss & celebrate!
